There is a new home for Jazz on a Thursday for the next few months, and possibly longer with your support. Thanks to Landlords Ian & Dan, Thursday Jazz is at Cheshire Cheese Public House, 2 Wallasey Village, Wallasey CH44 2DH.
Live Jazz is in the wonderful Courtyard room. Food is available, we have a superb DJ (Graeme Halewood) playing tracks relevant to the music of the guest musician each Thursday from 7pm, with the live music starting at 8pm. We have had some nights so far and with even more support we are hoping the Cheshire Cheese will become a permanent fixture on the Jazz circuit.

24 Andy Bayley King of Swing & HB - Singer Andy Bayley spends all of his time touring the UK. He is a regular with the regions Big Bands but tonight he will enjoy the intimacy of singing with the House trio

1 Andrew MacKenzie & HB - A firm favourite with Trad Bands, trombonist MacKenzie is able to stretch his legs, and slider with the House Band
8 Phil Lucas & HB - An evening of top trumpet and vocal work is ensured as Phil performs his varied and virtuosic sets
15 Alex Clarke & HB - A true highlight in what is a superb first three months at 'The Cheese'. Alex Clarke will keep the House Band and the audience on their toes.
22 John Settle & HB - Only the very best continue to play at 'The Cheese' Thursday Jazz. Vibes player John Settle joins the House Band fresh from his national tour with 'Orchestral Mambo International' As well as his superb vibes playing expect a stint on the drums too!
29 Possibly the last Thursday Jazz, but if we get regular support for the above listings, with an array of Jazz musicians from throughout the country with differing styles, we'll have something very special for 29th October....Watch this space!
