New piece for solo vibes

I am excited and honoured to be the dedicatee of a new composition for solo vibraphone, ‘On The Ball’ written by Isabelle Ryder. The world premiere will take place in Liverpool Cathedral on 6th February 2026.

Concert & Gig news:
I’m very excited to be playing with internationally renowned guitarist Eleanor Kelly at St Peter’s Church Rock Ferry, Wirral on Saturday 22nd November. It’ll be a candlelit concert of Latin, jazz and classical music in the superb surroundings of St Peter’s Church, designated by English Heritage as a Grade II listed building. Tickets can be purchased here

A great venue in South Wales is attracting some wonderful musicians. The very hard working Helen Morgan organises a monthly Jazz Night at the Tipsy Owl Pontypridd. October's gig stars the superb horn player Gethin Liddington with Gareth Roberts (trombone), Alastair Stewart (Sousaphone) and Liz Excel (drums). Brass Band Bychan play a very distinctive funk and New Orleans style.

I was lucky enough to be invited to work with Alex Cottrell and his band ‘Neverbody’ on their debut album ‘SELF TALK’, playing vibes on ‘Who is We’. The band are currently putting together some live shows to coincide with the album launch date on digital and vinyl on 3 November 2025

Eleanor Kelly, Carmen Guzmán Recording Project - support here
Guzmán holds a cherished place in Argentina’s musical heritage. Though she was admired in her lifetime, many of her compositions - particularly her unpublished works - remain unjustly hidden from the global stage. In celebration of her centenary in 2025, Eleanor is working together with Pixaudio to undertake a major recording project that will feature world premiere recordings of Guzmán’s unpublished and previously unrecorded works. As well as being the first album fully dedicated to her music, it will also be Eleanor’s debut album. The recording will commence in Autumn 2025, with a single being released at the end of year and the full album released in Spring 2026.
